Art Around The Block: Youth Art Exhibition Submissions

Art Around the Block & The West Vancouver Community Arts Council invite all aspiring artists, ages 12—19, to submit artwork for our special youth exhibition during National Youth Art Week in May, celebrating Canada’s 150th! All submissions in any style, media or theme are welcome. Artists are encouraged to submit art that may relate to the theme “Celebrating Canada’s 150th Anniversary”. 
The exhibition will be presented at the Silk Purse Arts Centre from May 2-21. There will be many chances for young artists to meet art lovers & the public at the Opening Reception May 2 & the Young Artists Open House May 13.

a)
Hi-res images of artwork for consideration
b) Contact info: name, e-mail, phone, age, school
c) Must be between ages 12-19

Submission is free. $10 exhibition fee for selected artists.

Art Around the Block is an initiative created by young artists for young artists, to find opportunities to showcase their work. The WVCAC is proudly partnering with Art Around the Block to host this exhibition.

This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the West Vancouver Community Foundation, the Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast to coast to coast.
