Get an up-close view of artists at work! Artists exhibiting in Cherry Blossoms: A Textile Translation 2017 will demonstrate a variety of textile art forms and techniques.

Brazilian Embroidery
Margot Calvert demonstrates how she created her Brazilian embroidery pattern, plus samples of Brazilian embroidery & ribbon embroidery. Margot is a registered nurse in the OR (a little OCD) so Brazilain embroidery & hand work suits her. She lives in Coquitlam & thrives working in her quilt/fibre art home studio.

Tapestry Weaving
Patricia Kirch demonstrates tapestry weaving. With a career teaching Professional Tennis, Patti states that "Art is my off-court activity. The need for content in book arts, for cartoons in tapestry turns into a daily ritual of making journals & sketching potential cartoons for tapestry."
