Every summer the WVCAC proudly presents Jazz Waves! This community favourite festival features amazing performances from the finest local talent - everything from R&B, swing, free jazz, gospel, Dixieland & more!

    Celebrated for her lush & unique voice, vocalist Laura Crema & her quintet play a diverse mix of pop infused jazz originals, Bossa Novas & jazz classics.

    Joining Laura are Jillian Lebeck on piano, guitarist Bill Coon, bassist Darren Ratke & Nino DiPasquale on drums.

    Pianist & composer Tony Foster, originally from North Vancouver now based in Seattle, brings his fantastic trio to the intimate setting of the Silk Purse. Joining Tony will be bassist Sean Drabbitt (Victoria/NYC), & local Vancouver star jazz drummer Joe Poole! 

    These talented musicians will be covering material from some of the great jazz pianists of our time with their own unique spin!
