West Vancouver Community Arts Council

The West Vancouver Community Arts Council was established in 1968, with a mission to increase and broaden the opportunities for West Vancouver and all North Shore citizens to enjoy and participate in cultural activities. The WVCAC is based out of the Silk Purse Arts Centre on the waterfront near John Lawson Park at 1570 Argyle Avenue. The District of West Vancouver generously makes the Silk Purse available for the Council’s use.

We’re excited to be a part of the West Vancouver Foundation Give Where You Live matching campaign! When you make a donation to our Community Art Initiatives through the WVF portal, your donation will be matched* - doubling your giving!

All funds raised for the Community Art Initiatives will support our FREE community engagement programs such as Singing by the Sea and Collaborative Community Art temporary public art installation in summer 2022.

*Donations made by December 31, 2021 will be matched up to $10,000, by funds held at West Vancouver Foundation in the Ian & Rosemary Mottershead Fund.

Collected: $550.00
Goal: $10,000.00
