Contemplating the enormity of life & existence can lead us to a place of wonder & even peace. Artists Douglas Krieger, Neda Shojaei & Linda Suffidy explore universal themes of creation, time & connection through diverse media & distinct styles.

Douglas Krieger merges traditional carving methods & modern design technologies to create one-of-a-kind wooden works of art. Inspired by the concept of sacred geometry, Krieger's work expresses the innate beauty of shapes, patterns & textures. Through contemplating these  elements crafted in fine woods, Krieger strives to create an experience that connects viewers to the present & a reconnection with our natural environment.

Neda Shojaei combines her passions for calligraphy, painting & colour to create energetic & poetic artwork. A certified calligrapher, Shojaei takes traditional Persian calligraphy in bold directions. Empowering words & phrases are transformed by abstracting letterforms & layering gestural brushstrokes with bold swaths of colour & texture. While still recognizable, these words of inspiration transcend language to become lyrical expressions of hope, connection & beauty.

Linda Suffidy creates graceful & striking artwork that is part painting & part sculpture. Exploring the longevity of nature as a metaphor for time, Suffidy carves intricate clusters of ginko, fern & magnolia into board, creating a dimensional surface for painting. These plants exist in similar forms to their ancient ancestors, presented in these works as timeless icons: simultaneously ancient fossils, contemporary objects & artifacts for the future - demonstrating that given a chance, nature will ultimately survive.
